Juventus coach Fabio Capello has revealed his ambition of managing Premier League giants Manchester United one day.

"To be a coach of Manchester United would be a dream come true," Capello told The Daily Star on Wednesday. "It would be the same for any manager.”

"United are a great club and they have a historic coach. For me, Ferguson has the maximum respect," he said.

Capello was always among the names tipped to take over at Old Trafford once Alex Ferguson steps down, but the veteran Italian boss insisted he did not receive any offers from United officials.

"I have not had any offers from the directors of Manchester United.

The former Milan and Real Madrid boss said he was happy taking charge of Juventus for the time being but will not pass on the prospect of coaching in the Premiership when the time is right.

"I am very happy with Juventus and I want to win the title and the Champions League and we are serious contenders for both," Capello said.

"At the moment I want to end my project with Juventus and see them through to the summer. But I would never discard a chance to work in England if the circumstances were right," he added.

Capello has also been linked with a return to Santiago Bernabeu after Brazilian coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo was sacked.
